The aim of Gambling Therapy (GT) is to provide expert and current support effectively to problem gamblers and affected others globally through a variety of online medium. We are constantly refining our strategies to gain a better understanding of gambling behaviour and the skills necessary to help people move forward in their recovery. We further aim to develop education and prevention strategies to help increase awareness about the risks associated with gambling. The GT site is an essential resource for engaging and helping you to make responsible decisions.
We offer a robust service in terms of the range of skills offered when delivering support. Some of our staff and volunteers are problem gamblers or have been involved with someone who is a problem gambler which provides them with a valuable insight into what some of you may be going through. Other staff and volunteers are trained counsellors or support workers with training in counselling skills and/or online support. We have a mixture of ages, both genders and unique styles when it comes to the interventions, we use which means there is usually someone here you will find it easy to talk to.
GT operates an international HelpLine (Zopim) and remains the first port of call for anyone experiencing problems. We take pride in being the leading provider of this specialist support service, offering a staffed HelpLine seven days a week. Our fully-trained advisers provide confidential advice, information and support to anyone experiencing a gambling problem, as well as to affected others. We use the latest technology, such as our online GT App with an assessment tool, advice, support exercises and mindfulness strategies. Our advisers take calls in over 270 different languages – all integrated and managed for the highest quality service. As well as the GT App, we also provide forums, online groups and email support to anyone experiencing difficulty through their own gambling or that of a family member.

This behavior pattern is inevitably followed by the need for winning back gambling losses and increasing bet amounts – resulting in gambling substantial debt.
